Granby Facility

We’ve been in the propane tank exchange business since 1998. We built our new facility in 2003. Since then, we’ve installed only the best state-of-the-art equipment. Today, we prepare, fill and verify all tanks using the latest technology, guaranteeing the highest quality and safety for your propane tank.

Recycling and Refilling

All tanks are checked as soon as they arrive at our facility. They are then sorted according to the treatment they will receive. They are washed, and, often, sanded down, too. After, all tanks are completely repainted. This way, we can offer you a clean tank that you’ll be proud to use at your next backyard BBQ.

Checking Leaks and Safety Sealing

When we refill a tank, we make sure there are no gas leaks. Each tank passes through an electronic, open-valve gas leak test before leaving the facility. Only tanks that have passed this test receive our renowned orange seal approval. Your tank’s valve will always have an orange seal before you take it home. It’s our quality guarantee. With this, you can rest assured that you have a safe and secure tank that’s been fully inspected and meets all safety regulations. If the tank does not have this orange seal, it’s not ready to be used.

Distribution

You’ve surely seen our trucks on the road. Aren’t they something else!? Our modern fleet is always kept in the best condition. This is why we can distribute RapidGaz tanks safely across CANADA, at all times.

Connecting Your Tank Safely

- After connecting your propane tank, make sure there are no gas leaks.
- Do not turn on your device.
- Apply soapy water to the hose connection and to any other of the gas system’s joints.
- If bubbles appear anywhere along your gas system, do not light your device.
- If the leak seems to be coming from the hose connection, loosen and tighten it.
- If you can’t stop this leak, shut off the tank’s valve. Bring the tank back to the store where you purchased it and exchange it at no cost.
- If you can’t detect any leaks, you can then light your device SAFELY.

Storing Your Tank

To prevent potential gas build-up in closed spaces, your tank must be kept outside or in a well-ventilated area at all times. Your tank was designed to be weather-resistant.

Indoor Use

Never use a propane gas device indoors unless it was specially designed for this purpose. (For example, never use your BBQ inside the garage when it rains or in the wintertime.)

There are many health risks associated with indoor use, like asphyxiation or poisoning, etc
